Raised in Alaska and went the first part of my life just assuming I was like everyone else, but never dated. At 32 I began to wonder if there was an option I had not allowed myself to consider. At 33 I realized there was. I try to follow my mother's advice that she gave me when I first hit the road back in 1985 to drive down to college in Wisconsin..."Don't think with your dick." It was sound advice back then and still is today. But some of you guys make it so darn hard....to follow that advice. Family is important to me. I also enjoy hiking in the mountains. There is nothing like a little elevation gain to change one's perspective of the world around them...and it does wonders for the ass and legs. Kayaking and canoeing are great as well...just not as much access to them lately. People ask me what I am seeking. Well, a few years ago, I left my lock behind at the gym. I went back the next day. They opened a big drawer full of similar locks. I have had that lock since it was on my junior high school locker, over 30 years. I picked it out of the drawer, first time. I want something that I can have for such a long time that no matter what else is going on, one can pick it out for its uniqueness and being something special. At times, it seems like time is fleeting...but I also figure something worth having is worth the wait and some effort and when it is right, it will happen. Yep, I'm a romantic. And no, I don't believe those of you out there with similar expectations are picky, it is a matter of having a standard and knowing what you want...or at least what the feeling it is that I want to have when I'm with someone.
